2021 Winner: Tina van Luling – Williams College

From the nominating letter: “Tina began her career as a secretary in our department. At that time, we had one computer that no one knew how to use, no email or voicemail. We did not know when we hired Tina as a secretary, we would end up with one of the most respected IT professionals on our campus. From that very primitive Flintstone like beginning, Tina has guided the evolution of our department into a technological masterpiece. ... Tina built strong relationships with the installers, alarm technicians, network and systems people, engineers, developers and integrators. When it came time to update and replace the old access control systems, Tina was instrumental in advising the College through that process.”
